He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. Thompson and Lavenia Benefield Thompson; his son Shane Thompson; and his sisters, Wanda Gail Thompson and Lynn Crosby.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Thompson of Nashville; his daughter Michelle Smith (Darrell) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Jason Braswell, Seth Braswell (Heather), Salem Braswell, Michael Braswell and Remington Braswell; his great grandchild Luke Braswell; and his sister Deborah Ann Cook (Ronnie) of Lakeland.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Baptist Church (1011 S Dogwood Dr, Nashville, GA 31639). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
