She was predeceased by: her mother Marlene Smith Leitzman; and her sister Beth Werling. She is survived by: her father Noel Leitzman; her husband Steve Gardner of Nashville; her sons, Nicholas Anderson of Ft. Wayne, Bryan Gardner of Lake Park and Brandon Gardner of Valdosta; and her sisters, Carolyn (Douglas Daniels), Georgia and Darla Miller of Valdosta.
