It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Hancock (Nashville, Georgia), who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Godwin and Loleeta Hughes Godwin; her spouse Tallie Hancock; her son Dale Hancock; and her sisters, Thelma Godwin and Janette Womack.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Atwell (Shane) of West Berrien; her daughter-in-law Lola Hancock of West Berrien; her siblings, Zel Thorn of Atlanta, Judy Stracke of Adel and Joe Carroll Godwin (Marie) of Lenox; and her grandsons, Bobby Hancock (Brooke), John Hancock (Courtney), Greg Atwell (Toni), Gary Atwell (Rachel) and Grant Atwell. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
