She was predeceased by: her parents, B. C. O'Steen and Mattie Astles O'Steen; and her brothers, Elbert O'Steen and Bruce O'Steen. She is survived by: her son Allen Carter (Lucinda) of Nashville; her grandchildren, Tyler Carter of Valdosta and Alyssa Carter of Nashville; and her sister Mattie Jean Griffin of Nashville. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
