He was predeceased by: his brothers, James Frank Murphy and Russell Murphy; and his child Ruby Taylor Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Moore Murphy of Nashville; his daughters, Kay Hunter (Lynn) of Hahira, Debbie Darby (Don) of Hahira, Tina Bennett (Paul) of Palatka, FL and Joy Whitten of Brunswick; his stepchildren, Patti Henry (Craig) of Merritt Island, FL, Lisa Lewis (Tim) of Rocky Mount, NC and Bud Moore (Debbie) of West Berrien; his grandchildren, Ranse, Rhett, Kristi, Brack, Roxanne, John, Max, Christina, Parker, Kelli, Bailey and Amelia; and his siblings, Bootsie Ricks of Moultrie, Joyce Hopkins of Moultrie, Faye Murphy of Moultrie, Bonnie Murphy of Moultrie, Neil Murphy of Moultrie and Gerald Murphy of Calhoun. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
