She was predeceased by: her parents, John Collier Melvin and Eunice Richardson Melvin of Virginia; her siblings, Faye Hendley, Birdie LeDoux, Colleen Hartson, Lamar Melvin, Joseph Melvin and Henry Melvin; and her son-in-law William Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Sabrina Johnson of Tifton and Donnell Atkins (Sabrina) of Nashville; and her sister Jo Ann Ghan of Utah. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
