She was predeceased by: her daughter Kendra Marlene Carter; and her siblings, Elizabeth McCollister, William Ellis and Thomas Jerry Ellis. She is survived by: her children, Karla Mallard (Daniel) of West Berrien and Kenyon Carter (Christine) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Kason; and her sister Linda Garrett of Alabama.
