We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 87, Loretha Cersey of Nashville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Loretha shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Loretha farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorsey Nelms and Sadie Vaughn Cersey; her husband Curtis Albert Cersey; her son Joey Cersey; her son-in-law Howard Gaskins; and her brother Junior Nelms.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy Gaskins of Nashville; and her grandchildren, Carrie Vickers (Eric) of Collins, Ashley Crews (Chad) of Nashville, Chris Cersey of Valdosta, Nick Cardin (Jessica) of Adel and Nick Gaskins of Nashville. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639).
