He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger William McLendon and Pauline Cooper McLendon; and his siblings, Patsy Hopkins and Charles McLendon. He is survived by: his wife Beverly McLendon of Nashville; his sons, Bill McLendon (Jenny) of Hahira, Chuck McLendon (Melanie) of Carrollton and John McLendon (Rhona) of Tallahassee, FL; his grandchildren, Meredith, Cole, Grant of Hahira, Mitch, Miles, Cam of Carrollton, Cailyn and Raelyn of Tallahassee, FL; his sisters, Nancy Shiver (Jerry) of Tifton and Nina Nicholson of Thomasville; and his close friends, Darrell and Karen Bryan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
