She is survived by: her parents, Garshie Thornton and Irene Soloman Thornton; her husband William Henry Welch; her children, James Hall (Tara), Erik Welch and Michelle Simpson (Eric); her brother Marcus Taylor; and her grandchildren, Madison Simpson, Katelynne Simpson, Dyllan Hall and Dakota Hall.
