He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Meeler and Della Mae Massey Meeler; and his brothers, Boyd Meeler, Carter Meeler and Raburn Meeler.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Sauls (Wayne) of Nashville and Angela Tyler (Shawn) of Nashville; and his siblings, Tony Meeler of Sparks, Tommy Meeler of Sparks, Gladys Weeks of Sparks, Mildred Mercer of Sparks and Mary Ann Shelton of Sparks. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
