He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Roberts and Martha Bennett Roberts. He is survived by: his daughter Lucy Kelly of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Billy Bowen, Jr. (Dawn), Tammy Exum (Keith) and Abbie Dykes (Phillip). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren: 6 great great grandchildren.
