He is survived by: his wife Carol Tyson of Nashville; his children, Carole Pennell (Jeff) of Weaverville, NC, Lurinda Hoogstraten (Steven) of Kalamazoo, MI, William Tyson of St. Petersburg, FL, Glynn Tyson of Lantana, FL and Joseph Tyson of Rock Hill, SC; his grandchildren, Veronica Blasingame (David), Samuel Pennell, Elizabeth Pennell, Cortney Deal (Mason), Travis Tyson, Ryley Hoogstraten and Cameron Hoogstraten; and his sisters, Juanita Spikes of Pearson and Anna Sue Wiggins of Tifton.
