He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Thomas Thrift and Shirley Ann Allen Thrift; and his sister Donna Lynn Thrift. He is survived by: his daughters, Mallory Aaron (Michael) of Tom Bay, FL., Kayla Thrift (Chris Tyson) of Hilliard, FL. and Hannah Thrift of Hoboken; and his grandchildren, Alanna Thrift of Tom Bay, FL. and Alyvia Aaron of Tom Bay, FL..
