With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Edward Mathie of Nahunta, Georgia, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Scotty Mathie and Iva Grace Hughes Mathie; his children, Kevin Mathie, Karla Mathie and Kymer Mathie; and his siblings, Jackie Smith, John Mathie, Tom Rhule and Jim Rhule.
He is survived by: his wife Ginny Mathie of Hoboken; his children, Kleve Mathie (Andrea) of Nahunta, Kerry Mathie (Martha) of Nahunta and Kenny Johns (Cheryl) of Schlatterville; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Owens of St. Simon's, Phyllis Harris of Nahunta and Cindy Herrin of Hortense; and his sister Jeanne Mathis of Marshville, MI. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
