She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Mathis and Mable Partin Mathis; her husband Larry Vaughn; and her brothers, Larry Wayne Mathis, Lyndon Mathis, Darrell Mathis and Bobby Mathis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Coble (Michael) of Hampton and Brenda Grimm (Dan) of Morton, IL. She is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; seven siblings.
