He is survived by: his mother Mildred Graham Payne of Dahlonega; his wife Laura Davis Payne of Murrayville; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Melissa Payne of Gainesville; his children, Kristy McFall of Jefferson and Kerry; his daughter-in-law Kelly Payne of Hickory, NC; his sister Brenda Norris of Dahlonega; and his grandchildren, Chandler McFall, Allie Claire Payne and Graceanne Payne.
