He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James H. Sr. Vandiver and Lessie Hefner Vandiver; his wife Sue Anderson Vandiver; and his children, Dianne Vandiver Wallace (Bill) of Cherryville, NC and Jack H. Vandiver, III (Robin) of Wheaton, IL.. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, as well as his extended family.
