She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Roy and Lilly Franklin Roach; her granddaughters, Susan Elaine Hagler, Tracey Lynn Smallwood and Eva Michelle Swing; and her sister Wilma Sue Burnett.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald and Garland Leonard Rider; her significant other Richard Chambers; her children, Linda, Melvin Deaton, Jimmy, Martha Smallwood, Kathy Rider Matthews (Billy), Jeannie Rider, Joyce and Sam Chambers; and her sister-in-law Mildred Woody. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
