He was predeceased by : the mother of his children Linda Hooper Dorsey; his brother Jimmy Dorsey; his sister-in-law Carol Dorsey; his brother Glenn Dorsey; his sister-in-law Brenda Dorsey; his parents, Hugh Dorsey and Myrtle Dorsey; and his sister-in-law Peggy Kemp.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Dorsey; his daughters, Nicole Thompson (Mark) and Paige Jameson (Jeff); his stepchildren, Karin Chambers (Eric) and Kevin Burruss (Stephanie); his sister Fran Entrekin (Ray); his grandchildren, Ben, Lexie Thompson, Chloe Jameson, Reece, Rachel and Reagan Chambers; and his sister-in-law Stacey Kemp.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park Riverside Chapel (989 Riverside Dr, Gainesville, GA 30501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
