He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Lee and Maybell Rayfield Lee; his wife Helen Oliver Lee; and his siblings, Thomas Lee, Howard Lee, Hubert Lee and Odell Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Robert E. Lee (Terri) of Washington State and Susan Benfield (Ed) of Mountain City, Georgia; his sisters, Ozell Reinhardt of Alabama, OlaBell Wallis of Alabama, Addie Lou Jones of Florida, Arstine Nicewonder of Florida and Mary Jarrell of Georgia; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Summers (Bruce) of Washington and Anthony Benfield of North Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Brezy Lee Summers of Washington, Will Campbell of South Carolina, Dominic Benfield of South Carolina and Billy Joe Benfield of South Carolina.
