He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford C. Patterson and Lola Faulkner Patterson; his son Johnny Patterson; and his sisters, Dorthy Callahan and Bertha Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys V. Patterson; his children, Wesley Patterson (Lori), Randall Patterson (Geneva), Jeff Harper and Sonya Patterson (Ron Hipps); and his caregiver Sheila Blankenship. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several half siblings and several nieces and nephews.
