He was predeceased by: his parents, John Underwood and Emily Underwood; and his sister Gene Zeigler. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Underwood of Mt. Vernon; his children, Terri Paulk (Schel) of Guyton and Joe "Jody" Underwood (Kristin) of Boston, Massachusetts.; his grandchildren, Danielle (Timmy), Scheldon, Adrianna, Shawn, Melissa, Darcey, Shane, Stacey, Abbigail Paulk, Emily and Jonathan Underwood; his great grandchild Hannah; and his brother Johnny Underwood.
