He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Colon Sammons and Mildred Rebecca Gibbs Sammons. He is survived by: his spouse Linda Carter Sammons of Mt. Vernon; his sons, William Sammons (Holly) of Duluth, Brent Sammons (Katy) of Mt. Vernon, Brian Sammons of Bentonville and Joel Sammons (Carrie) of Suwanee; his siblings, Melba Claxton of Ailey, Bennie Sammons (Janice) of Uvalda, Darrell Sammons (Susan) of Shellman Bluff and Jimmy Sammons (Mary) of Glenwood; and his grandchildren, Cole, Carly, Chloe, Elliot, Lydia, Jonah and Lucy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
