She is survived by: her husband Odell J. Nix of Mt. Airy; her children, Melinda (Charles Harris), Rhonda (Doug Fowler), Ansel J. Nix of Mt. Airy and Ricky L. Nix; and her siblings, Helen "Teddy" Taylor of Cornelia and Garnett Chapman of Carlton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
