William Lee Meeks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Lee Meeks of Mount Airy, Georgia, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Meeks and Mary Hurt Meeks; his wife Betty Sue Westmoreland Meeks; his siblings, James Eugene Meeks, Henry Joe Meeks, Roy Haskel Meeks and Mildred Juanita Meeks; and his son-in-law William Arthur Downs.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim; his son-in-law Rick Quarles; his sister-in-law Frances Meeks; his grandchildren, Rebekah Culpepper, Rachel Culpepper Thornton, Zachary Thornton, Carrie Culpepper, Jesse Culpepper and Leah Culpepper; and his great grandchild Abigail Thornton. He is also survived by other relatives, & friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531).
