He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Dover and Lizzie Dooley Dover; his wife Louise Cathey Dover; and his siblings, Arthur Dover, Wilburn Dover, Clarence Dover, Earl Dover, Ruth Dover Hill, Essie Dover Harris and Mary Ann Dover Whitten.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Dover Meador of Nashville, TN, Wayne Dover of Cornelia and Barry Dover of Mt. Airy; his granddaughter Jana Dover Byrd (Shannon) of Perry, GA; and his great grandchildren, Ansleigh Byrd and Connor Byrd.
