David Maxey Thacker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Maxey Thacker of Mount Airy, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harry and Estella Shore Thacker; and his siblings, James Shore Thacker, Mary Cloid (Jack Frye) and Ida Miranda Thacker.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Thacker; his daughters, Melissa Wyers (Jim) and Jennifer Thacker; and his grandchildren, Hannah Wyers and Nick Wyers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
