Though Charles may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Gaines, Sr. and Louise Brannon Gaines; his wife Gloria Strothers Gaines; his brother Phillip Gaines; and his cousin Woody Justus.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Sullens of Dahlonega; his grandchildren, Anna Rogers (Isaac) of Zirconia, NC, Emma Sullens of Dahlonega, Tressie Sullens of Dahlonega and Isaac Sullens of Dahlonega; and his cousin Barbara Walls of Clermont. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel (5495 GA-197, Clarkesville, GA 30523). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the VFW Memorial Park.
