It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blonnie Holbrooks Thomas of Mount Airy, Georgia, born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Columbus and Lela Mae Crumley Holbrooks; her husband Dr. R. L. Thomas; her son Bobby Lee Thomas; and her brothers, Julius James Holbrooks, Ray Jasper Holbrooks and George A. Holbrooks.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie; her son-in-law Dr. David Black of Mt. Airy; her siblings, Eunice Stephens of Bishopville, SC, Ralph Holbrooks of Canton, Fred Holbrooks of Demorest and Eddie Holbrooks of Clarkesville; her granddaughters, Heidi McInnish (Joey Parr) and Abigail Hobbs (Mark); and her great grandchildren, Jack, Thomas McInnish and Aspen Hobbs.
Due to concerns with COVID-19, Mrs. Thomas will lie in state at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel from 1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
