He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Remer Boyd and Nancy Johnson Boyd; his wife Agnes Giddens Boyd; and his siblings, Chester Boyd, C. R. Boyd, Jr., Martha Jane Shelly and Odessa Hiers.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Boyd (Judy) of Moultrie, Ann Hamilton (Junior) of Moultrie, Janice Clayton (Lynwood) of Mocksville, NC, David Boyd (Lorena) of Moultrie and Steve Boyd (Patricia) of Moultrie; and his sisters, Doretha Langston of Moultrie, Louise Tucker of Moultrie and Novella Powell of Florida. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
