He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Tinsley Porter and Maggie Irene Hartsfield Porter; his wife Maudie Madglene "Johnnie" Norman Porter; and his siblings, Hazel Irene Porter Foster (Earl), Margie Mae Tate, Floyd "Buddy" Porter (Alma) and Robert W. Porter (Audrey).
He is survived by: his sons, Benny L. Porter (Pat) of Albany and David L. Porter (Carol) of Sylvester; and his grandchildren, Lisa Porter Clark, Michele Porter Bausick, Tibbie Porter Watson and Rick Porter. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
