He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell Welch and Kate Weldon Welch; his wife Mary Elizabeth Taylor Welch; and his brother-in-law Donald Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Wayne Welch (Eva), Debbie Darlene Mitchell (Steve), Tammy Welch, Johnny Goddard, Tracie, Javier Munoz and Kristi Welch (Xavior Brown); his grandchildren, Ashley Welch, Stephanie Brown, Heather Reese, Brandy Jolly, Jennifer Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell and Bryan Dell; and his sister Margaret Thomas. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home & Crematory (2222 GA-37, Moultrie, GA 31788). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pinecrest Memory Gardens (2929 S Main St, Moultrie, GA 31768).
