He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Parker Barden and Verda Mae Schutt Barden. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Crawford Barden of Berlin; his children, Chad Barden of Atlanta, Walter J. Barden, Jr. of Telfair and Carrie Harris of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Haven and Noah; and his siblings, Jennifer Barden Pope of Moultrie, Clydele Barden of Monticello, Quenna Patrick (Bubba) of Columbus, Christopher Barden of Colorado and Ricky Barden of Florida.
