It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Rentz Murphy Sr. of Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" C. Murphy and Audrey Lee Rentz Murphy; and his sister Faye Croft. He is survived by: his wife Mavis Ann Murphy of Quitman; his sons, Thomas Murphy, Jr. of Moultrie and Keith Murphy (Farrah) of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Stephanie Sasso (Dominick) of Pensacola, FL, Charlie Murphy of Moultrie, Carson Murphy of Valdosta and Landon Murphy of Valdosta; his great grandchild Skylar Anne Mordecai of Pensacola, FL; and his sisters, Linda Lord (Claude) of Moultrie and Patty Adams of Moultrie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
