He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey Gibbs and Cora Adams Gibbs. He is survived by: his son David Gibbs (Stephanie) of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Alexandria Merritt (Adam) and Eric Gibbs; his sisters, Caroline Hurd (Tim) of Hilton Head, Jane Gregory of Bluffton and Ginger Beverly (Mike) of Valdosta; and his nieces, Carli Hurd and Heather Gregory.
