He is survived by: his parent Beatrice Cooper Spivey; his spouse Alice Miller Spivey of Moultrie; his children, Judy Ann Cox (Marvin), Robert D. Spivey (Margie) of Douglas, June Madison, William Shirling of Dothan, Barbara "Babs" Roberts of Moultrie and Richard D. Spivey (Cindy) of Vidalia; and his grandchildren, Robert Ben Comer, David C. Comer, Beth Kenward (Tony), Blakely Harper (Alex), Britton Harper (Buster), Donna Edwards, Drew Durham (Jordan) and Whitney Lyles (Matt). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
