She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Wilder Maxwell; her husband John Garrison Thomas; her son Joe Glen Sumner; her father William Glen Maxwell; her siblings, Billy William Maxwell and Julia Nell Ferguson; her brother-in-law Buster Ferguson; her niece Camille Ferguson; and her nephew Kyle Ferguson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lucinda Carter (Ron) and Sabrina Shiver (Steve); her grandchildren, Brian Carter (Amy), Rhonda Carter, Blake Shiver (Lindsey) and Elise Dennison (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Emma Carter, Garrison Carter, Dylan Childs, Adele Childs, Harrison Shiver, Juliana Shiver, Clara Dennison and Archer Dennison. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
