He is survived by: his parent Bernice Beasley Murphy; his wife Sarah Hardeman Murphy of Moultrie; his children, Cynthia Murphy Law of Chattanooga, Ronald Jeffery Murphy, Melanie of Bainbridge, Scott Hardeman Murphy and Camille of Oxford; his grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Brandi, Blake, Sarah Catherine, Megan, Forrest and Anna; his siblings, Gerald Murphy of Calhoun, Bernice "Bootsie" Ricks of Moultrie, Joyce Hopkins of Moultrie, Faye Murphy of Moultrie and Bonnie May of Moultrie; and also, Kenneth of Chattanooga and Debbie of Calhoun.
