He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Keith Barfield and Nettie Lucile Mixon Barfield; and his brothers, Olin Barfield, Paul Barfield and Murray Barfield.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Keith Barfield of Moultrie; his children, Rodney David Barfield, Jr. of Moultrie and Cassidy Fowler (Joey) of Moultrie; and his grandchildren, Eden Barfield, Makenzie Peacock, Jax Fowler, Briley, Ronnie Barfield, Laverne Sealy, Riley Barfield, Phyllis Painter, Carol Jackson and Melanie Dorsch.
