She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Rutherford and John Alfred Rutherford; her husband Reverend J. E. Moak, Jr.; her siblings, John Alfred Rutherford Jr. and Virginia Rutherford Montgomery; and her grandson Wesley Owen Smith.
She is survived by: her brother Richard Taylor Rutherford, Sr. (Janet Rutherford); her children, Mark Stephen Moak (Rhett Smith Moak) and Mary Ann Moak Smith; her grandchildren, Leah Smith Moak (Cody Hoover), Laura Braswell Conger (Kyle Conger), Reid Carlton Smith (Anisha Kapadia), Daniel Stephen Moak and Ellen Moak Buer (Eric Buer); and her great grandchildren, Jacob Ethan Conger, Kathryn Lane Conger, Elizabeth Jane Conger, Luke Dean Conger, Gigi Shalesh Smith and Lark Wesley Hoover. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
