He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson "Jeffie" Barry and Ethel Thomas Barry; his daughter Melinda Barry Smith; and his siblings, James Barry, Lilla Tucker, Ween Davis, Pete Barry, Cora Lee Powers, Deana Miller, Vada Gillespie and T. J. Barry.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Newton Barry of Moultrie; his children, Sonja Barry Thompson (Randy) of Moultrie and Christopher Barry (Beth) of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Blake Thompson (Mimi), Morgan Barry and Alex Barry (Marisa); his great grandchildren, Beckett Thompson, Lizzie Barry, Janice Barry and Serenity Barry; and his sister Carrie Salkeld of California.
