He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Hobgood and Annette Motley Garner. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cannon Hobgood of Moultrie; his sons, Joe Seebeck of Orlando, FL, Jason Hopper (Effie) of Moultrie, GA and Timothy Hopper of Moultrie, GA; his grandchildren, Toby Hopper, Gabby Hopper, Trinity Hopper and Khloe Hopper; his sisters, Marcella Wood (Mark) of Moultrie, GA and Angela Akins (George) of Ty; and his pets, Jack and Little Black. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
