He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Baez and Anastasia Ramos Baez; and his brothers, Valentin Baez, Jose Baez, Alberto Baez and Carlos Baez.
He is survived by: his wife Ana Leyda Baez; his children, Emilia Rosa Baez, Sunen Canete and Maikel Baez; his children-in-law, Hermes Canete, Efrain Canete and Loida Baez; his grandson Eduardo Miguel Troche; his siblings, Rosa Baez and Fermin Baez; and his stepson Armando Rivera.
