He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Gary Hancock and Myrtle Rountree Hancock; his son Michael Garry Hancock; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Hancock. He is survived by: his wife Amelia "Mickie" Hughes Hancock; his daughter Susan Hancock Dickerson (Emory); his granddaughters, Megan Fleetwood (Drew) and Kelsey Dickerson (Devin Scott); and his great grandchildren, Max Fleetwood and Charlie Fleetwood.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cobb Funeral Chapel (2441 Camilla Hwy, Moultrie, GA 31768). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calendar Trinity Baptist Church (201 12th Ave SE, Moultrie, GA 31768).
