It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Moore of Moultrie, Georgia, born in Quitman, Georgia, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hiers and Emily Hiers; her husband Homer Curtis Moore; her brother Randall Hiers; and her son-in-law Marty Hooks.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Hooks of Moultrie and Dewayne Moore of Moultrie; her siblings, Cecil Hiers (Robbie) of Barney, Larry Hiers of Norman Park, Robert Hiers of Valdosta, Barbara Hiers Nelson of Ocala, Florida and Sara Hiers Suggs of Ocala, Florida; her grandchildren, Traci Wilford (Sean) of Moultrie, David Strayer (Megan) of Moultrie, Heather Smith (Ricky) of Moultrie and Jason Moore (Blair) of Tifton; her great grandchildren, Kade Kennedy, Cryslyn Kennedy, Izabelle Kennedy, Cole Smith, Brantley Smith, Evelyn Strayer and Adalee Smith; her great great grandchild Drake DeMott; and her sister-in-law Grace Holder.
