It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise McMurphy of Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on July 17, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cox and Effie Murphy; her husband James William McMurphy; her children, Diane Brooks, Effie Irene Gibson, Garry McMurphy and Larry McMurphy; and her siblings, Albert Buford, Ben J. Buford and Jeraldean Kilgore.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Pope (B. B.) of Moultrie, Carolyn Gibson (Jack) of Moultrie, Wilma Williams of Moultrie, Ronnie McMurphy (Kathy) of Moultrie, Bobby Jean McCook of Moultrie, Virginia Meads (Joey) of Moultrie, Harold McMurphy (Debbie) of Moultrie, Michael McMurphy of Moultrie and Craig McMurphy (Dana) of Moultrie; her siblings, Clayton Murphy (Johvonna) of Moultrie and Lucille Kilgore of Dunlap, TN; and her close friend Clyde Welch of Moultrie.
