He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Joseph Bourgeois and Elma Christine Bourgeois; and his brothers, Patrick Bourgeois and Robert Bourgeois. He is survived by: his wife Jean Fillyaw Bourgeois of Moultrie; his children, Melondy Resnick (Adam) of Surf City and Brian Bourgeois (Angie) of Norman Park; his grandchildren, Caleb Messer of Fayetteville, Zachary Messer of Richlands, Kenleigh Bourgeois of Tifton and Emilee Bourgeois of Tifton; his great grandchildren, Kayce Messer and Faye Taylor Messer of Richlands; and his sisters, Yvette Bourgeois Sutter, Yvonne Bourgeois Jones of Arizona and Kathy Bourgeois Erickson of California.

Lawrence proudly served in the United States Navy, making invaluable contributions to his country.
