It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Barker McCorkle of Moultrie, Georgia, born in Colquitt, Georgia, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sidney Barker and Lillian Harwood Barker; her husband Walter Thomas McCorkle; and her siblings, Margaret Barker Ditmars, Fannie Barker Smith, Ina Barker Ellis, Louise Barker Green Whipple, Edith Barker Rentz Key, George Leo Barker, Samuel Hudson Barker and Paul Leroy Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Thomas McCorkle, Jr. (Ellen) of Peachtree Corners, GA, Anna McCorkle Kiss (Tommy) of Lake Mary, FL and Linda McCorkle Ferrante (Phil) of Columbia, SC.; her grandchildren, James MiIler (Amanda) of Stone Mountain, GA, Ruth McCorkle Nore (Erik) of Gainesville, GA., Laura McCorkle Walsh (Justin) of Dacula, GA., Kaitlyn Kiss Dunbar (Ryan) of Lake Mary, FL and Allison Rebecca Kiss of Charlotte, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Miller Lopez, Edie Miller, Bella Nore, Astrid Nore, Kaeleb Walsh, Amanda Walsh and Evelyn Walsh.
