He was predeceased by: his brother William G. Edwards; and his parents, Irene Henderson Edwards and Willis Gaston Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Tommie Lou; his sons, John Willis Edwards Jr. (Dondra) of Moultrie and Robert Thomas Edwards; his grandsons, John Willis Edwards Ill, Jonathan Walker Edwards and John Luke Hedden-Chai; and his sibling Donnie Edwards (Mitzi) of Moultrie.
His desire in lieu of flowers is for donations to be made to The Breathe Ministry at Heritage Church and the Moultrie Humane Society.
